Portage Moose 131
The Portage Moose Lodge 131 was instituted on June 23, 1909. The lodge was initially located in a small building in the 800 block of Caldwell Avenue.
In 1913, a brick building was erected on Gillespie Avenue. It was a popular place for the next 50 years to hold banquets, dances, and wedding receptions. The building was sold in July 1982.
The Moose is now located on Orange Avenue.
